This data was generated in response to the question: is it possible to generate hunting loads in the 450 Marlin using 500gr bullets given the limited powder capacity left when one seats said bullets to Marlin OALs - if 500gr at 1500fps+ is a hunting load, then the answer is: yes. Of note: these loads in a light Marlin Guide Gun generated significant recoil... but also left the impression that anything hit at the target end was going to go down quickly.

Ballistically, the two interesting features are: being able to see the effects of insufficient load density in the RL7 data and the resulting ragged ignition (and once above that critical density seeing the statistics cleanup); and seeing that the time-pressure curve shape for the I3031 loads is such that the stucture of the bullet is destroyed at a much lower velocity (resulting in the gentleman's 12" groupsizes), than with the other powders.
