GMDR.Load features a database of technical drawings for more than 330 cartridges. These can be accessed for reference or as the basis of a wildcat of the user's own design. The Cartridge Designer utility allows the user to click on any particular dimension shown on the screen and vary its value as desired. The changes can be done in coarse, medium or fine dimension steps
The user can modify the shoulder angle, neck-down or neck-up a case, modify the size of the rim or the base, vary the body length of the case, or even add a shoulder to a straight wall cartridge. The body taper, the mouth thickness of the brass, and the web height can be adjusted to the actual dimensions of the user's cases. The cartridge designer utility allows for the seating of a straight base or boat tail bullet at the user's selected depth.
Throughout the changes, GMDR.Load updates on the screen the value of the cartridge capacity including and excluding the seated bullet, and the expansion ratios for two standard barrel lenghts. The new case designs are automatically stored for future access and/or modification. All cartridge technical drawings are point and click printable.
